  1. It's 1.5 lbs of flank steak.
  2. Prepare 1 tbsp. of cornstarch.
  3. You need 2/3 cup of soy sauce.
  4. You need 1/3 cup of brown sugar.
  5. It's 1/4 cup of water.
  6. You need 1 tbsp of minced ginger.
  7. Prepare 1 tbsp of minced garlic.
  8. You need 1 tbsp of Chinese vinegar.
  9. You need 1 tbsp of vegetable oil.
  10. Prepare 1 tsp of sesame oil.
  11. It's to taste of Red pepper flakes,.
  12. It's 1/4 cup of cornstarch slurry.

Instant Pot Mongolian Beef step by step

  1. Slice steak against the grain and add to a ziploc bag. Add cornstarch, salt and pepper. Toss until well-coated.
  2. Add oil and turn on saute setting. Add steak and sear until browned.
  3. Combine soy sauce, garlic, ginger, water, brown sugar, vinegar red pepper flakes and sesame oil in a bowl. Add sauce to instant pot.
  4. Cook on high pressure for 8 minutes, natural release for 10 minutes before quick releasing.
  5. Form cornstarch slurry by mixing 2 tbsp of cornstarch with 1/4 cup of water. Turn on saute setting and add slurry. Cook until thickened.
  6. Top with green onions and sesame seeds, and serve over rice..
